"Kawau Lodge" - North Cove
Experience peace and tranquility only 1 hours drive from Auckland, Kawau Lodge is set in picturesque North Cove on Kawau Island. Two tastefully, appointed queen rooms complete with own coffee/tea making facilities, television, luxurious ensuites, and magical bush and sea views plus a super king / twin bedroom upstairs complete with own ensuite. A delicious breakfast with a choice of continental or gourmet, served with fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal and specialty muffins can be served alfresco on your deck overlooking the bay or in the privacy of your room.
Enjoy a fabulous hosted evening dinner made from a fine selection of carefully prepared local produce. Our salads and vegetables are often picked fresh from our garden. Local wine list available.
From Kawau Lodge you can go kayaking, sailing, bush walking, swimming, visit the historic Mansion House, fishing or just kick back with a book, listen to music.
Another alternative is to go for a cruise on our comfortable 28' cruising boat "Dolphin Endeavour". Enjoy a sightseeing trip around Kawau Island or perhaps a visit to the Tiri Tiri Matangi Island bird sanctuary or go snorkling in the Goat Island marine reserve. Serious fishing trips are also available.
We will personally met you at Sandspit and transport you across to the lodge.
